Porirua Festival Galleries

Cultural Festivals are held every year on Waitangi Day – originally launched as a Festival of the Arts, it has morphed in recent years to “The Festival of the Elements” promoted by the Porirua Community Arts Council.

These Festivals have become increasingly popular, attracting large and diverse crowds who participate and watch the free entertainment. All of which affords magnificant photo opportunities….

Porirua Festival of the Elements 2011

The Kapiti Camera Club are “contracted” by the Porirua Community Arts Council to photograph the event. Photographs taken by members of the club are then forwarded to the Council who utilise the images for further promotion, and to maintain a photographic achive from previous years. Therefore copyright of the KCC images belongs to the Porirua Community Arts Council and permission has been obtained to use my own photographs on this web page.
